BAAA’s 11th Annual Spikes for Tykes Raises $25,000 for Children’s Home Network
The Bay Area Apartment Association’s 11th Annual Spikes for Tykes Volleyball Tournament brought together a full slate of 40 teams to compete on the sand at Rec Dec in sunny St. Petersburg, FL, on Friday, February 16, 2024. Players were joined by friends and coworkers who, together, helped raise at least $25,000 for the Children’s Home Network.
BAAA’s careful planning was clear in every aspect of the experience. They put a lot of heart and hard work into making the 2024 event another tremendous success. Teams competed in a play-in tournament followed by a single-elimination playoff. The action on the sand was fun, friendly, and exciting. Chadwell Supply’s squad came out on top, edging a tough A&A Painting team in the final.
Players and fans were excited to come together for a great cause at Spikes for Tykes 2024.
Chadwell Supply was honored to serve as this year’s title sponsor. We partnered with BAAA, as well as many outstanding management companies, apartment communities, contractors, and other suppliers to support Children’s Home Network’s efforts serving at-risk children and families.
Children’s Home Network provides compassionate, effective services and innovative programs that create opportunities for children in need. In 2023, the organization impacted the lives of more than 6,700 children and their families. Their work creates opportunities for real, generational change in the lives of these children and their families, while having a positive ripple effect across the entire Tampa Bay Area community.
The Chadwell Supply team had a blast partnering with BAAA to support the
phenomenal people at Children’s Home Network.
Chadwell Supply Managing Partner Mark Chadwell said our team appreciates the opportunity to be part of BAAA’s community investment efforts. “BAAA contributes immensely to the multifamily community, and we appreciate the opportunity to collaborate. It’s a privilege to partner with them in support of The Children’s Home Network. We’re honored to participate in this meaningful endeavor, and we look forward to making a positive impact together.”
BAAA Deputy Executive Director Krystal Humphrey said this year’s event surpassed all expectations. “What an incredible day—another sellout! We always get tremendous support from our members, management companies, apartment communities, contractors, and suppliers. Rec Dec is a great venue… The competition was strong this year, and everyone had a wonderful time. Most importantly, we hit our goal of raising $25,000 for the Children’s Home Network! Each year, this event is getting bigger and better, and we’re so grateful for our members’ support.”
Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s event. Chadwell Supply is excited to make a difference in our community together. We will see you back on the sand in 2025!
